Course OP42: High Voltage Operational Refresher Course.
Duration: 3 days
Venue: Sterling Power Training, Mucklow Hill, Halesowen, West Midlands
Membership: The course is designed for Authorised / Senior Authorised Persons who require periodic refresher training in accordance with their employer’s authorisation policy, or AP / SAP’s who have not been involved in operationalactivities for a substantial period of time.
Objective: This two day course will reinforce the principles of electrical safety associated with the operation and control of high and low voltage electricity systems.
Further Information: This course has a high degree of practical involvement. Course delegates will be continually assessed during the course to ensure that they have learnt and understood the key learning points.
Delegates will take an end of course assessment questionnaire.
It is the employer’s responsibility to determine whether or not an individual has satisfied Regulation 16 of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
If required, Sterling Power Group are able to assist organisations with the authorisation assessment process and are able act as an ‘Authorising Agent’ if required by the Client.

Case Study to include:-
- - Review of Switchgear Operating Procedures
- - Application of Safe Working Procedures
- - Actual Switching Exercise
- - Preparation of Safety Documents
Presentation of Case Study
Day 2
Practical Exercises on ‘Live’ Training Network
Customer’s specialist related subject which may include:-
- - Protective Gear
- - Earthing Schemes
- - Cable location, etc.
Day 3
Practical Exercises (continued)
